IEC 61082-1 Ed. 2 unanimously approved
The voting on document 3/771/FDIS was closed 16th December. The result was unanimous approval (with a couple of abstentions). The revised publication is therefore soon to be published.

IEC/PAS 61906 and IEC/PAS 62400
Two Publically Available Specifications (PAS) have this week been sent to the IEC/CO for publication:
IEC/PAS 61906 Procedure for the declaration of materials in products of the electrotechnical and electronic industry, is based on the circulated document 3/750/DPAS with result documented in 3/766/RVC. The responsibility for this publication is intended to be transferred to TC 111 Environmental standardization for electrical and electronic products and systems, for further elaboration of the PAS into a standard.
IEC/PAS 62400 Structuring principles for technical products and technical product documentation – Letter codes – Main classes and subclasses of objects according to their purpose and task, is based on document 3/746/NP with result documented in 3/761/RVN. This publication will be part of the input for the upcoming revision of IEC 61346.

JWG 9 disbanded
JWG 9 (IEC TC3 / ISO TC184/SC4) is finally disbanded.
The current activities on
- AP210: Electronic assembly interconnect and packaging design
- AP212: Electrotechnical design and installation
and maybe also further activities on
- AP211 PCA: Test & Integrated Diagnostics
- AP220 Printed circuit assembly process planning
will be covered by the new Team T10 Electrical and Electronic Applications of WG3 of ISO TC184/SC4.
