IEC 81346-1 and -2 published

The first two parts of "International Standard 81346 developed jointly by IEC and ISO" was published 2009-07:

IEC 81346-1 Ed. 1 Industrial systems, installations and equipment and industrial products - Structuring principles and reference designations - Part 1: Basic rules, and

IEC 81346-2 Ed. 1 Industrial systems, installations and equipment and industrial products - Structuring principles and reference designations - Part 2: Classification of objects and codes for classes .

By the publication of these two parts IEC 61346-1, IEC 61346-2, IEC 61346-3, IEC/TR 61346-4 and IEC/PAS 62400 have been withdrawn.

The CDV for IEC 61666 Ed. 2 is now open for voting

Following the completion of the IEC 81346 series it has been possible to finish the related publication IEC 61666 Industrial systems, installations and equipment and industrial products - Identification of terminals within a system - Horizontal standard . Document 3/943/CDV is now open for voting until 2009-09-18.

The FDISes for the IEC 81346 series have been registered

The IEC 81346 series Industrial systems, installations and equipment and industrial products - Structuring principles and reference designation - Horizontal standard consisting of Part 1: Basic rules and Part 2: Classification of objects and codes for classes - Horizontal standard has been sent to the IEC central Office for final voting as FDIS. They are now subject to some final editing before starting of the voting.
