Documentation for TC 3 plenary meeting in Seattle is now available

The draft agenda (updated), 3/101A/DA, have been added circulated. The agenda together with the referenced and circulated documents can be found in “Working documents.
Note: In reports 3/1014/INF, 3/1015/INF and 3/1016/INF has by misstake wrong date for the plenary meeting been used. The correct date shall be 2010-10-16. 

Green documents will be presented at “Meetings and early history / Plenary meeting / TC3”. Please find documentation for the workshop in Seattle at the same sites.

The FDIS for IEC 62507-1 has been approved

The FDIS of IEC 62507-1 Ed. 1,  Requirements for identification systems enabling unambiguous information interchange – Part 1: Principles and methods, was circulated with closing 2010-10-01. The voting as presented in was in favour of the FDIS. A Report of voting, RVC , will be circulated and the standard will be published.

The draft standard has been developed by TC3 PT39.

A new CD of IEC 82079 has been circulated and commented

 It was decided in the plenary meeting of 2009 in Tel Aviv that the preparation of IEC 62079, Preparation of instructions – Structure, content and presentation, should be one of the IEC-ISO joint projects. Therefore the second CD, prepared by TC3 MT21, was circulated as IEC 82079-1 Ed. 1, Preparation of instructions for use – Structure, content and presentation - Part 1: General principles and detailed requirements, in document 3/984/CD.  

 Also a third CD, 3/1000/CD, was circulated with closing date 2010-08-13. A preliminary compilation of comments has been circulated as 3/1022/CC. The final CC will be circulated after the TC 3 plenary meeting.

Therefore the second CD, prepared by TC3 MT21, was circulated as IEC 82079-1 Ed. 1, Preparation of instructions for use – Structure, content and presentation - Part 1: General principles and detailed requirements, in document 3/984/CD.  

 The circulation of the second CD resulted in a big number of comments and it was decided to circulate a third CD. The third CD, 3/1000/CD, was circulated with closing date 2010-08-13. The received comments will be handled by MT21 with the goal to prepare a CDV for circulation.

Draft Technical Specification IEC/TS 62666 has been approved.

The draft, 3/994/DTS, of Technical Specification, IEC/TS 62666 Ed. 1, Guideline for the inclusion of documentation aspects in product standards was circulated with the termination of voting 2010-06-25. The voting as presented in 3/1006/RVC was in favour of the DTS and an updated version of the document will be issued as Technical Specification before the meeting in Seattle.

This Technical Specification is developed in response to expressed needs for guidelines for the inclusion of requirements for documentation in product and system standards. The guideline has been developed by TC3 PT43.

CDV of IEC 62023 Ed. 2 and IEC 62027 Ed. 2 open for voting.

The documents 3/1011/CDV of IEC 62023 Ed. 2 Structuring of technical information and documentation and 3/1012/CDV of IEC 62027 Ed. 2 Preparation of object lists, including parts lists have been circulated for voting with the closing date 2011-01-14.
